The Indian Institute of Technology Madras is set to launch a course called “Out of the Box Thinking” through Mathematics. Their goal is to encourage innovative thinking. The course was considered the first of its kind by the institution.
The course will be offered in online mode and will be free for all students in India and abroad. Students will be able to access it through the IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation.
Professor V. Kamakoti, Director of IIT Madras, said, “This course is the first of its kind in India and will have a major impact in the days to come. We will see the benefits of this course in the next few years. The course is offered free of charge. This will of course greatly benefit school and college students, especially those residing in rural India.

The “Out of the Box Thinking” course will focus on problem solving, new, easily understood techniques, and real-world projects.
IIT Madras aims to target one million students and students as well as working professionals and researchers. The course will be taught by Mr. Sadagopan Rajesh, Founder-Director of Aryabhatta Institute of Mathematical Sciences. The final exam of the ‘Out of the Box Thinking’ course will be proctored and conducted at centers across India.
